Multi-layer Access Control at my Current Organization

So I currently work for Walmart and multifactor authentication is used as one layer of their multilayer access control. When an employee tries to access a sensitive system or application, they are required to provide their username and password, as well as a second form of identification, such as a fingerprint or a one-time code sent to their mobile phone. This makes it much more difficult for unauthorized individuals to gain access to Walmart's systems and sensitive data.

Using multilayer access control, such as multifactor authentication, is essential for any organization that values the security of its data. It helps prevent data breaches and protects sensitive information from unauthorized access. As a large retail company, Walmart handles a lot of sensitive customer information, and it's critical that they have robust security measures in place to protect that data.

Sometimes we have issues with connectivity, but I haven't noticed to many issues regarding multifactor authentication and it doesn't seem to affect morale in any negative way. I'm personally all for it, the last thing a large corporation wants is someone with unauthorized access gaining access to our apps and acquiring sensitive information on the associates and customers. We didn't receive training on it other than some basics of how it works during orientation.
