The main features of Hadoop

Hadoop has a multitude of features and benefits which makes it the most popular and easiest to use of the Big Data systems in place today. The fault tolerance feature, being one of the most important in my opinion, allows all the data from a single machine to be read in the event that the machine encounters some sort of technical issue. Continuing with the fault tolerance feature, data can also be read from other nodes within the Hadoop cluster because the data is copied and replicated 3 times to different nodes by default. This helps with ensuring the data will be there in case one node crashes. Copying and replicating the data to different nodes ties into another feature of Hadoop. High Availability is Provided, which basically means that in the result of a DataNode going down the same data can be retrieved from any other node where it was replicated. The next feature I believe is incredibly important would be the fact that it's a cost effect solution due to the fact that it's an open source system. Being an open source system basically means it is free to use. The source code is available online for anyone to understand or make modifications as per the industry requirement according to geeksforgeeks.org (Links to an external site.). A few of the other feature that were not mentioned in detail are: Its highly scalable cluster, flexibility provided, ease of use, data locality uses, and faster data processing, all of which are important features which made it difficult to pick 2 of the most important features. if you click here (Links to an external site.), you can check out some of the other features and benefits that Hadoop has to offer.
